The common thing about XC-world champion Jolanda Nef, Poland and the Val Müstair

Recently Ride The Val-Guide Nicole guided a group of media ladies from Poland together with Crosscountry world champion Jolanda Nef on the National park biketour – where they rode together a part of the Nationalpark Bikemarathons from Scuol to Livigno. A world champ, five e-biker, a triathlon athlete, two advanced mountainbiker and complete beginner – the different levels of the group were pretty striking! They took their time and uncountable pictures and also a relaxing coffee break in S-charl. And in the evening, whilst most of the roup chilled in their accommodation in the hotel Al Rom in Tschierv, Nicole took one of the participant for a little evening loop on the local trails so Marta could get at least a bit of her fix of singletrails. The big highlight was then the dinner together with Jolanda in the hotel Al Rom.

In the morning the following day, Jolanda decided to stay another night in the valley for training purposes. She accompanied the group from Tschierv til Döss radond where she said good by and before leaving, she also kissed the rock Muma Veglia im Döss Radond – according to an old legend, that brings luck!

Jolanda rode back down into the valley – over the trail „Hom dal Chapè“ of course. And the polish ladies rode with Nicole til Livigno. At the Passo Val Mora the group had to cross a few snowy patches the big adventure was to cross the massive snow walls in Alpisella.

Very tired but super happy they reached their final destination in Livigno. From the beginners to the advanced riders – they all really enjoyed the experience.

Also meeting the pro rider was something they all appreciated. There were many good and funny talks with Jolanda. What a lovely woman! She definately wants to come back to ride in the Val Müstair as she fell in love with the valley. Having a training week here and sleeping in Lü on 1800 meters above sea level to feel the benefits of high altitude riding would be optimal for the XC-rider.
